With the approach of Holocaust Remembrance Day, we are pleased to invite our community to join us for a special viewing of the powerful Italian movie, "Life is Beautiful." The (subtitled) film centers around Guido, a charming Jewish-Italian man who uses humor, imagination, and boundless love to shield his young son, Giosuè, from the horrors of a Nazi concentration camp by convincing him it's all a grand game, proving that love and spirit can triumph even amidst genocide. The story blends comedy and tragedy as Guido's efforts to protect his family's joy during WWII create an unforgettable fable of hope, resilience, and paternal devotion, culminating in a powerful, bittersweet ending.
