PARTNERSHIP WITH ISRAEL
Partnership with Israel, a dynamic program of the Canton Jewish Community Federation, creates opportunities for people-to-people contact and cultural exchange between Stark County residents and Israelis living in the Western Galilee.
The Western Galilee is one of the
most diverse regions of Israel in terms of religion, culture and history. Partnership with Israel brought the Israeli Performing Artists Cultural Series to Stark County in 2008. The various artists presented public performances, master classes and educational programs in elementary and high schools during their stay.
Partnership with Israel also sponsors the TriWizard program which brings Arab and Jewish Israeli educators to Canton’s GlenOak High School. In 2005, we also brought the Yitzhak Art Exhibit to Canton representing the works of a variety of Israeli and U.S. artists.
